Moving Around

Sometime after I came along, Dad got the call and decided to become a minister.  He went back to school and earned a degree in theology.  Mom had three more children. We moved frequently (before) and during his career.  I still remember the sequence:  San Diego, Spring Valley, Los Angeles, Torrance, Glendora (all in California), Minneapolis MN (Brrrr!), back to California -- Los Angeles, Huntington Park, Huntington Park, North Hollywood, then to Fargo ND (Really Brrrr!), and on to Iowa -- Washington, Glenwood, Ottumwa, finally coming to rest in Malvern.  By the time the folks landed in Malvern, Diane was the only child still at home.

Once Diane graduated, Mom became the librarian of the Malvern Public Library, a position which she greatly enjoyed for ten years or so until my Dad retired in 1989 and they moved to Bartlesville OK.  My Dad passed on in 2008, but Mom still lives in the same house in Bartlesville and continues to be active in her church and enjoys numerous activities around town.  [NOTE:  This brief bio was written in 2015 in honor of Mom's 95th birthday.  The following pages were added in May of 2022 after she had passed on.]
