Mom was born in McCook, Nebraska on November 17, 1925. She spent the first several years of her life in McCook and moved to Sheridan, Wyoming just before she started school. Mom's parents, William J. Wolfe and Elizabeth Louise Gerold were born in America. Her paternal grandparents were Adam Wolfe and Virginia Polk and her maternal grandparents were Adolph Gerold and Elizabeth Hultz. As far as we know, all of her grandparents were born in Germany and came to this country in the latter 1800's.
