Around the House

Sometimes you just stumble on a picture that turns out really well.  Here's a couple that Trish took.

<<Nucy lounging on our Accent.

Can you find the Notaclothespin?>>

<<A particularly colorful pan of fried vegetables from this summer.

Spring time color.  Contrast this with our Christmas card.>>

<<Trish caught a double rainbow after a summer storm.

Me having a cold one.  Maybe I'm staring at the rainbow philosophizing about the true meaning of pots of gold.  But probably I'm just staring at the pond.  What else was there to do this year?>>

Pond Watching 101

<<Picturesque late winter snowfall.

We periodically host geese conventions.  They're obviously planning the when, where, and how of their next flight.>>

<<It's hard to capture, but if conditions are right, the light becomes very strange and eerie.

Picking up spring time color to replace the winter drab.>>

<<Tempestuous and stormy summer weather.>>

<<Moving into autumn with fog nestling in the dales.

Late autumn ice storm.  Sure looks pretty but it can surely wreak havoc.>>

<<Mirror pond on a calm day.

A very picturesque early winter snowfall and the cycle begins anew.>>

My Mother at 95!

I'll confess.  I took one very short, brief trip this year up to a small gathering at my brother's.  My mother really wanted to spend her 95th birthday with her children.

<<My  mother with her four children.  From left:  Diane, Charlene, Allan, and Randy.

Charlene and Greg.>>

<<Randy, Marla, and Shawn.

Diane and Allan.>>

<<Gathered around the table for dinner.  Marla took the picture.

Finally it's time to cut the cake!>>
