A Few Bucolic Snippets From the Year Passed

<<We hired a Chicken Whisperer to encourage the hens to lay!

One of my good buddies giving me shit!>>

<<Attack of the giant 8' tomatoes!  Gardening is so funny.  We had a row of tomatoes.  Some of them never even got started, others grew to be 8' giants that we had to pick with a ladder.

It's always a treat to watch the blanket flowers bloom below our deck.  We postpone mowing to let them grow and reach their destiny.>>

<<Occasionally we harvest vegetables with a strange sensual/erotic quality to them.

I really like our possumhaw:  just loaded with beautiful berries, but nothing but an occassional marauding horde of cedar wax wings will touch it. >>

<<Our bluebird population is slowly rebuilding.

Full pond, full of late spring lushness.>>

<<Colorwise, those in the know were predicting a blah fall, but we wound up with a  glorious autumn. Experts, what do they know? One of the prettiest autumns I can remember.>>

<<Fall lingers a bit longer before passing into winter.

This scene looks like it could have been painted by one of the Impressionists.>>

<<Our realm of ice and snow.

With Jack Frost nipping at your nose.>>

<<And our pond,

Which has gone and froze.>>

<<Nucy after her yearly shearing at the vet's. We really liked the way they bobbed her tail.

I'm not Nucy!  Nucy must be the archetypal Urcat: there's thousands of pix on the internet that look just like her.>>
