Movie Making 101
Ah -  the magic of the movies comes to Pawhuska.  Let Tinseltown reign in all its glory and illusion.  Let's do a Peabody and Sherman and hop in the
Wayback Machine.  1920s here we come!

<<First bring in the heavy equipment to set all the props in place.>>

<<And haul in antique cars by the truckload.

Then start putting on a happy face.>>

<<It's a face that is false but it's Fair-fax.  [Terrible pun for the benefit of us locals!]>>

<<For a finishing touch, let's make some good old fashioned mud streets.>>

<<Now, take a moment to stand back and enjoy your work.>>

<<It looked so real, I had to remind myself that even the telephone poles were fake!>>

<<All set and ready to go.

I hadn't seen and heard a working steam engine train in forever.>>

<<It's time to start making the movie.  I guess the blue screens make it easier to do special back ground effects.>>

EXTRA EXTRA Read all about it!!

Now it's time to wrangle some "authentic" extras.  This is Oklahoma after all.  These people are the real deal ;-)

<<Cowboys

 Indians>>

<<Indians

 Teamsters>>

<<Flappers

God fearing citizens>>

<<And assorted scalawags and scoundrels.

Well -- I guess you have to add a few stars for completeness sake.>>

And then the movie was over and the magic disappeared.  Cast and crew left taking all their props and toys with them.

<<Our old train station after its Hollywood makeover.

Now completely restored to its former glory.  They even tore out the tracks!>>
