Music and Miscellaneous Pix

We didn't do our usual festivals this year.  Mainly it was just good old down home picking.

<<Picking at Red's on New Year's Day.>>

<<Note to the discerning:  that's not a uke Trish is playing, it's a modern baby bass!

<<Doing some of my seasonal favorites at Ken and Diane's on Halloween.  Anyone remember Little Red Riding Hood, Spooky, the Monster Mash, Witch Doctor, Purple People Eater?>>

<<Picking at the Porter's>>

Our one true gig for the year, with Indocent Exposure at the Tallgrass Prairie Preserve.  Song titles given below are links to youtube videos.  The videos were contributed by friends of ours who used their smart phones.  Sometimes they caught us in mid song.

<<Him.

Her.>>

Note for below right:  Elmer McCurdy was a totally inept outlaw made famous in a song written by Trish's friend, Maggie Morgan.  It is historically accurate.  Many of the events occured in this part of Oklahoma.  This may be your only chance to ever hear this marvelous ballad!  You can also watch a mini-documentary  and googling him will yield a ton of hits such as the Wikipedia article.

<<There's no end to the attention Trish's tie-dyed bass receives.

Lamenting poor Elmer McCurdy, >>

<<Singing backup.

Knockin'em dead with  Ghost Chickens in the Sky (joined in progress with extensive crowd provided commentary).>>

<<Oklahoma Hills anyone? (Joined in progress.)

Our token miscellaneous pic:   Trish and Jami ferrying across Bull Shoals on their "Thelma and Louise" jaunt.>>
